Presenter Bio:

Thomas Wehlend is Senior Technical Specialist for GCP Applied Technologies Inc. and provides technical services for Canada. He is a P.Eng. in the province of Ontario with over 30 years in the concrete and construction industry.  His experience spans a wide array including ready mix concrete, cement manufacture,  cementitious and supplementary materials, admixtures, quality control and assurance, troubleshooting, training and education, and precast.

Thomas is active in many organizations promoting the industry and presenting many education seminars. He is a member of the Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association, former member of the Canadian Precast Concrete Quality Assurance Committee, Concrete Ontario. He is a voting member of the Canadian Standards Association CSA A23.1/A23.2 Concrete Materials and Methods of Concrete Construction/ Test Methods and Standards Practices for Concrete  technical committee. He is the chairman of the Physical and Mortar test methods committee and voting member of CSA Standard A3000 Cementitious Materials Compendium committee.
