review SESSION and Certification Examination,

The Manitoba Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) is offering a 3-day review and examination session for the Certification of ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician on June 1-3, 2021. Join the more than 1,000 Manitobans who have satisfied the CSA Standard’s requirement for field testing personnel certification to assure improved concrete testing in the field and to acquire a better understanding of the test procedures and certification requirements.

The theoretical and practical review will be based on the eight CSA A23.2-19 standard test procedures for concrete including sampling plastic concrete, making and curing concrete test specimens, air content of plastic concrete by the pressure and volumetric methods, slump and slump flow of concrete, density and yield of plastic concrete, and temperature of freshly mixed hydraulic cement concrete.

Certification is conditional to the successful completion of the written and performance ACI-accredited exams. This certification is recognized worldwide and satisfies the requirements of CSA Group A23.1-19 clause 4.4.1.7.

The 3-day review session and certification examination are offered at the following times and location:

When:        Day 1 - June 1, 2021 - Classroom

Who Should Attend? Those whose duties include concrete testing, in the laboratory or on the project site, must be certified for the tests to be valid.
